A tired and exhausted facial expression is not only caused by drooping eyelids or drooping upper eyelids, but can also be caused by lowered eyebrows or eyebrows that are perceived as too low. A perfectly arched eyebrow is the ideal of beauty for all women, while men tend to favour slightly arched or straight eyebrows. In both men and women, the ageing process can cause the eyebrows to droop, which impairs the expression of the eye area. The eye area then appears tired and prematurely aged. In addition, sagging eyebrows can lead to drooping eyelids or a worsening of drooping eyelids.

For further information, please see the bottom of the page. This is where the advantages and disadvantages of the procedures are presented and the risks and side effects are explained. However, this cannot replace a personal consultation (also via video), in which these aspects are explained and adapted individually. We therefore look forward to a personal consultation with you!

Details

The procedure during the operation varies depending on the type of surgery chosen. With a pure eyebrow lift, the procedure is performed under local anaesthetic in a sitting position. The doctor first marks the incision and the desired position of the eyebrows. After the incision, the excess skin is removed and carefully sutured. In the method with a forehead lift and incision at the hairline, the incision is marked and placed after the general anaesthetic. If necessary, the surgeon can adjust the fatty tissue and muscles, then tighten the skin towards the hairline and suture it there. Excess skin is removed. During endoscopic surgery, small incisions are made in the hairy scalp to insert a mini camera. This allows the surgeon to tighten the skin and remove excess skin. In a lateral brow lift in combination with a temple lift, the incision is made behind the lateral hairline. Two shifting layers are then created to tighten the eyebrow and temple region. The superficial and deep fascia layers are then sutured to ensure permanent fixation. In combination with an upper eyelid lift, access is made via the upper eyelids to fix the eyebrows in the desired position under the skin.

After Treatment

After the operation, you should cool the treated areas with cooling compresses for the first two days. It is recommended to wear a light compression head bandage. It is advisable to keep your upper body slightly elevated while sleeping. The stitches are usually removed after about eight to 14 days.
