Natural collagen build-up

A quick and effective wrinkle treatment can be achieved with artificially produced collagens. In addition or as an alternative to such wrinkle treatment, it makes sense to build up collagen tissue in deeper layers of the skin and thus achieve a natural rejuvenation of the facial skin. Various procedures of modern aesthetic medicine are available for this purpose.

Wrinkle treatment and building up natural collagens for facial rejuvenation

Human skin consists of several layers. On the surface is the epidermis, underneath is the dermis and below that the subdermis. Wrinkles develop in all layers of the skin and usually spread into the deeper layers of the skin during the ageing process. It is therefore important to build up the base of the skin, i.e. the deeper layers, with collagen structures in order to smooth the skin on the surface. This can be achieved with modern aesthetic treatments that directly stimulate collagen synthesis in the deep layers of the skin.

These modern aesthetic treatments give the skin a long-term effect and are therefore an ideal complement to a fast-acting treatment with short-acting filling substances or an alternative if the patient primarily wants a long-term effect.

For further information, please see the bottom of the page. This is where the advantages and disadvantages of the procedures are presented and the risks and side effects are explained. However, this cannot replace a personal consultation (also via video), in which these aspects are explained and adapted individually. We therefore look forward to a personal consultation with you!

Who is it for?

Long-term collagen stimulation is suitable for all patients who want to rejuvenate and plump up the skin, reduce wrinkles and smooth the skin's surface without undergoing more extensive surgery.

The battle against the ageing process is won on many fronts and so the various pillars of treatment are important components in winning this battle. One pillar is neuromodulation with botulinum toxin, another is wrinkle treatment with artificial, short-acting fillers, another is the systematic build-up of collagen in the subcutis and many other pillars give the skin good stability. Your face can defy the ageing process.

Details

In order to build up the collagen layers in the deeper skin regions, a series of 3-6 individual treatments at intervals of approx. 4 weeks is usually necessary. This is important from an organizational point of view, as of course one treatment is not enough and travel to and from the clinic as well as the short stays in the clinic (approx. 30-60 minutes) must be planned for. The good news is that the downtime is short and patients can return to work immediately after the appointment. Those affected can return to work or home and the consequences of the skin treatment are not visible to third parties.

In these cases, however, a certain waiting period is necessary until the results become visible. Depending on which specific treatment we have chosen for you, it may take 2-3 months before you can assess the final results of the treatment. This means that skin regeneration works differently from person to person. It is influenced by many factors such as age, gender, hormone status, nicotine consumption and many others. The important thing is to start doing something for yourself and not wait until only expensive treatments or surgery will help.

After treatment

The treatments are designed for long-term success, i.e. the processes triggered are slow and stable. After most treatments of this type of collagen stimulation, the immediate consequences are very inconspicuous. Patients can usually return to work or home and third parties do not notice the effects of the treatment. In some cases, special sun protection is necessary in the case of intensive UV radiation, and a slightly reduced sports program in the two days following the treatment can help the products to work undisturbed. Nicotine consumption should be completely stopped in the days following the treatment.

Results & risks

All treatments to stimulate collagen synthesis aim to stimulate the skin's natural healing powers and rejuvenate the skin in the long term. The risks of such a treatment are low. In rare cases, slight redness or swelling may occur after such a treatment. Minor bruising may also occur as a result of the injection itself. The greatest risk is that the desired result may not be fully achieved and further treatments may be necessary. However, on closer inspection, this does not actually represent a complication or a risk, as each skin has an individual regeneration potential and these treatments do not trigger exactly the same effects in all patients.

Costs

The costs vary greatly, sometimes three, sometimes seven treatments are necessary. Roughly speaking, the investment for stable skin rejuvenation starts at around €1000. Due to the high degree of individuality, a personal consultation is essential, because only with the technical possibilities of our clinic can we reliably plan the necessary steps and prepare a cost calculation.
