Stem cell therapy for hair growth

Hair loss affects around 8 out of 10 men and every 4th woman in the course of their lives! Hair loss is a very serious problem for affected patients. Whether it's a bald forehead, a "plate at the back of the head" or simply thinning hair, there are no hairstyles that can conceal hair loss, especially for women, and many men are also reluctant to go bald.

HOW DOES HAIR LOSS OCCUR?

In addition to hereditary hair loss, the supply of oxygen, trace elements and nutrients to the hair roots plays an important role. Above all, the concentration of certain hormones controls the activity of the hair root and thus hair growth. Lifestyle on the one hand (nicotine and alcohol abuse, little sport, exposure to environmental toxins) but also the intake of certain medications can aggravate hair loss and lead to baldness.

PRP CURE FOR THE HAIR

Treatment with platelet-rich plasma (PRP for short) is a solution for circular hair loss, the loss of individual hairs or the loss of hair in general. The activity of the hair root is influenced by the extremely high concentration of this therapy and hair growth can return to its former strength. In most cases, the treatment must be repeated several times (3 treatments at intervals of 3-4 weeks) in order to stimulate the activity of the hair root and reduce hair loss.

For further information, please see the bottom of the page. This is where the advantages and disadvantages of the procedures are presented and the risks and side effects are explained. However, this cannot replace a personal consultation (also via video), in which these aspects are explained and adapted individually. We therefore look forward to a personal consultation with you!

How does a PRP hair treatment work?
First, around 20ml of the patient's blood is taken from the vein (as with a normal blood sample). The blood is then centrifuged and the key components are prepared for injection into the scalp. By means of many small injections, the PRP is then delivered to the hair root where it can take effect.
