Erectile dysfunction

Erektionsstörung und Erektile Dysfunktion (ED)

An erection is a prerequisite for a man's sexuality. Without an erection, sexual intercourse is simply not possible. However, the erect penis does not function according to an "on/off" principle, as it is not uncommon for men to have an erection that is too flaccid or does not last long enough to enjoy sex. Erectile dysfunction is widespread in the male population and affects not only older men, but also younger men. Almost 10 per cent of men under the age of 30 report occasional erection problems. Among men aged between 50 and 60, every second man suffers from erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction can therefore be regarded as a "common male disease".

WHAT PROBLEMS DO MEN COMPLAIN ABOUT?

Problem 1: The penis doesn't get really hard!

The first problem that men notice is that the penis doesn't always get really hard. A flaccid erect penis in the morning is not so noticeable. But when it comes to sexual intercourse, men often realise that the corpus cavernosum is not well supplied with blood and the penis is too flaccid to enjoy sex.

Problem 2: The penis goes flaccid too early!

If the penis becomes flaccid during sexual intercourse, sexual intercourse cannot be completed. Patients report that the penis initially becomes hard, but then becomes "flaccid" during intercourse. An orgasm is then often not possible or only half-heartedly possible.

Problem 3: Ejaculation (orgasm) comes too early or too late!

Many men also complain about the problem that orgasm (which is associated with ejaculation in men) occurs too early, too late or not at all. Premature orgasm is also referred to as premature ejaculation or ejaculatio praecox. Both problems can have different causes and can be improved in different ways.

OUR CONCEPT FOR IMPROVING ERECTIONS.

As a first step, you will receive an electronic questionnaire with a few questions about yourself and your problems. Based on this questionnaire, we will draw up a diagnosis and treatment proposal for you.

As part of an initial examination, your hormone status (testosterone, oestradiol and other hormones) will be determined in order to rule out an endocrinological cause. If necessary, hormone levels that are too low, e.g. testosterone, are then raised.

In the second step, the therapies that can lead to an improvement in erection are determined.

These include the following therapies:

  1. P-Shot® or P-Shot® Pro.
  2. Erection-enhancing infusion therapies
  3. Shock wave therapy (shock wave treatment)
  4. Therapy with phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors
  5. Therapy with prostaglandins for injection

It is not possible to generalise which treatments in which combination are useful for you to improve your erection and this must be decided as part of the joint treatment.

For further information, please see the bottom of the page. This is where the advantages and disadvantages of the procedures are presented and the risks and side effects are explained. However, this cannot replace a personal consultation (also via video), in which these aspects are explained and adapted individually. We therefore look forward to a personal consultation with you!

Who is it for?
The treatment of erectile dysfunction is not only interesting for men in the second half of life, but often also for younger men who notice a decrease in erectile function. Smoking, high blood pressure or vascular diseases can worsen erectile function and result in a "flaccid penis".
Many of our patients want to improve their sex life, last longer during sex and strengthen their erection.
Our treatment can also improve fertility, which is linked to a functioning erection and a successful orgasm. This is why our patients include men from all age groups. In most cases, we can help to improve erections and intensify sex life.
Details
Depending on the severity of the erectile dysfunction, different therapy modules are necessary.
Sometimes a normal P-Shot® treatment is sufficient. In other cases, we combine the intensified P-Shot® treatment with shock wave therapy. We can also use various infusion treatments to increase natural hormone synthesis and thus contribute to an improved erection. We will clarify which therapy modules make sense for you in a consultation.
After treatment
The selected treatments usually take place over several appointments, so that multiple visits are often necessary.
None of the treatments require an anaesthetic procedure or anaesthetic, so that all treatments can be carried out without much effort. However, many patients have long journeys. We are therefore happy to schedule treatments for the long term in order to create planning security.
After treatment
Treatments to improve erection rarely take more than 45 minutes.
You can therefore get back in the car or train shortly after the treatment and drive home. There is also hardly any downtime for sport or sex during the treatments.
Results & risks
Of course, our goal is to help all patients achieve a successful erectile function.
We put together therapy concepts that are as individualised as possible and optimal for each patient. However, as erections depend on a large number of components, it is possible that no complete improvement can be achieved. This is an important aspect of open and honest information! However, the majority of our patients report an improvement in their erection and are very happy about this success
