Vaginal rejuvenation (vaginal tightening) without surgery: Forma-V

Duration of treatment	2-3 treatments are necessary, which can be carried out under local anaesthetic (with anaesthetic cream). One session usually takes about 30 minutes.

Forma-V is a modern treatment for tightening the vaginal canal and the external female genital area - all without surgery using the gentle power of radiofrequency.

The anatomy and physiology of the female genitalia changes due to childbirth and normal ageing processes, but also due to menopausal tissue changes (menopause). When the female vaginal wall becomes looser and more lax, this has a direct effect on sexuality and therefore has a massive impact on quality of life. Medical symptoms that indicate a slackening of the vaginal canal are vaginitis (atrophic vaginitis), reduced sensation during sex, loss of sexual pleasure and stress incontinence (urinary incontinence).

FORMA-V provides a new and revolutionary technology that can be used to treat and rejuvenate the internal and external female genitalia.

The radio frequency triggers a so-called micro-inflammatory process. This is a form of controlled inflammation. This stimulates connective tissue cells (fibroblasts) to form new and fresh collagen (connective tissue). In addition, the release of certain messenger substances improves blood circulation in the tissue (neoangiogenesis) and increases the proportion of elastic fibres in the tissue (neoelastogenesis). This combined effect tightens the connective tissue of the vaginal canal and the canal itself becomes tighter and, above all, narrower.

Who is it for?

For women who want vaginal rejuvenation without surgery, suffer from mild incontinence or want to intensify their sexual sensitivity.

Details

The treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic. For this purpose, an anaesthetic gel is applied to the effective area. The Forma V is inserted via a special vaginal probe and the tissue of the vaginal canal is gently heated to a maximum temperature of 43 °C. You can think of the device as an ultrasound probe that you know from your gynaecologist. This is moved back and forth several times to distribute the energy evenly. The treatment itself takes about 15 minutes.

After treatment

It is important to take it easy after the operation to prevent major swelling. Moderate cooling in this area can be helpful. Heavy lifting, sport and sex should be avoided for 2 weeks. Pain after the operation is rare and you will be fit for everyday life immediately. Depending on the workplace, it may be necessary to take time off work on the day of treatment.
