BODYTITE - Minimally invasive radiofrequency lipolysis (RFAL)

Liposuction can now be combined with radiofrequency skin tightening and radiofrequency lipolysis in a single procedure. The great advantage is that not only is fatty tissue removed, but the liposuction is combined with a tightening of the tissue and skin. BodyTite is a so-called minimally invasive body contouring procedure for results that can otherwise only be achieved through major surgical procedures involving skin removal. BodyTite is based on RFAL (radiofrequency lipolysis) and offers improved internal and external removal of fatty tissue through three-dimensional remodelling of the connective tissue septum. This leads to a remodelling of the collagen tissue and an effective three-dimensional tightening of the skin and fatty tissue.

Who is it for?

This technique should be seen as a supplement to normal liposuction. In a first step, the excess fat is removed using a modern procedure before the skin and subcutaneous tissue are tightened using BodyTite. It is therefore a two-stage surgical procedure within one operation. Particularly interesting are applications on the neck and face, where excess skin can lead to a sagging neck, double chin or sagging jowls. On the body, radiofrequency in the form of BodyTite is always used when the skin and subcutaneous tissue need to be tightened. The technique is therefore suitable for all patients with sagging connective tissue, regardless of whether a layer of fat needs to be removed or not. The body regions are flexible, as the BodyTite offers a suitable handpiece for almost all body regions.

Details

After detailed planning, the areas of the body to be liposuctioned or tightened are determined. The pre-operative drawing is made in a standing position and defines the sagging zones or the areas where there is too much fat and sagging skin. In the first step, the excess fatty tissue is then removed (if necessary), e.g. using water-jet assisted liposuction. We then use radiofrequency and BodyTite to penetrate the tissue through the same openings required for this and tighten it from the inside out.

After the treatment

After the operation, a special compression garment must be worn for a period of six weeks, which we provide. This helps to shape the body and stabilise the result. The puncture sites are barely visible, if at all, as the openings are approx. 2-3 mm in size.

Results & Risks

The risks and consequences of this special technique are essentially the same as those of liposuction in general. Overall, the procedure can be described as low-risk. Particularly in the case of radiofrequency lifting, there may occasionally be minor heating of the skin in particularly thin areas, which may be noticeable as redness or small blisters. These usually heal without any problems. The tightening of the deeper tissue layers is based on a shrinkage of the collagen fibres. This can lead to temporary hardening, which usually disappears without residue after a few months.
